Cow Appreciation Day.

Today was Cow Appreciation Day and Chick-fil-a had a celebration. Anyone dressed as a cow (head to hoof) would be given a FREE meal. This cannot be passed up.

So, April, Allison, and I (with the help of Tonia) created our cow uniforms decked out with special features. Cow April had a nose ring. Cow Allison was an exotic breed with black, white, and brown spots and floppy ears. Cow Ruth had a red tag on her ear. Cow April and Cow Ruth had udders, as I'm demonstrating in the photo above. I also decided to go with the brown cow look. It reminded me of a cow my family used to have named Mrs. Mooly.

We got our free meal. Perhaps my favorite part of Cow Appreciation Day was driving on Haywood Road in West Asheville and stopping for a guy to cross the street. He waved without the slightest indication that he thought we were weird... and we weren't weird because in West Asheville, it's normal to dress like a cow.

MOOOOOOOOOOO!
